Sri MD Musharraf Faruqui, IAS has assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director of the TGSPDCL with effect from 15.12.2023

Shri. Vattikonda Sivaji was appointed as Director (Projects, IT & HRD & Masterplan) of the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) by the Government of Telangana on 24th June 2025.

Mr. Vattikonda Sivaji brings over 32 years of distinguished experience in the Information Technology domain, with extensive expertise in digital transformation, ERP implementation, and IT governance within the power distribution and mining sectors. He currently serves as Chief General Manager (IT) at the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL), where he has been instrumental in pioneering technology-driven initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and consumer satisfaction.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sivaji has played a pivotal role in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level IT systems. As a techno-functional consultant for SAP-based ERP solutions, he successfully led their deployment across multiple power utilities, including TGSPDCL, which became the first DISCOM in India to adopt SAP S/4 HANA under his leadership. His strategic vision enabled the creation of integrated digital platforms such as the Online Energy Billing System, Consumer Service Portals , and Smart Grid and SCADA systems, setting benchmarks in technology adoption across the energy sector.

An advocate of innovation and cybersecurity, Mr. Sivaji also guided TGSPDCL to achieve ISO 27001 certification for Information Security Management Systems. His contributions have earned multiple recognitions, including several Innovation with Impact Awards from the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the National Award for Solar Rooftop Promotion.

Mr. Sivaji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Osmania University and a Master’s in Business Management (Systems) from IIT Kharagpur. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from JNTU Hyderabad.

A visionary leader, Mr. Sivaji continues to drive technological excellence and digital innovation in public sector utilities, aligning with the national agenda of a Digital and Energy-Efficient India.

Shri Dr.N.Narasimhulu was appointed as Director (Operation, P&MM, IPC & RAC, Energy Audit, DPE, Assessments) of the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) by the Government of Telangana on 24th June 2025.

Dr. N. Narasimhulu is a seasoned professional in the power sector with over 33 years of experience in electricity distribution, operations, and project management. He began his distinguished career in 1992 with the Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board (APSEB) as an Assistant Engineer and rose through the ranks, serving in key positions including Assistant Divisional Engineer, Divisional Engineer, Superintending Engineer, Chief Engineer, and In-charge Director across APSEB, APTRANSCO, APSPDCL, and TGSPDCL. .

Key Experience:

With more than 13 years of service as Chief Engineer and now as Director (Operation, P&MM & Masterplan), Dr. Narasimhulu has played a pivotal role in strengthening operational efficiency and reliability. His expertise spans Project Execution, Operation & Maintenance, Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs Coordination (RAC), Energy Auditing, Customer Services, Planning, and Load Monitoring.

Contribution to power Sector :

He has been instrumental in major infrastructure schemes such as HVDS, RGGVY, DDUGJY, and the establishment of 33/11 kV substations funded by REC, PFC, and JICA. He has also driven initiatives under Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) to streamline new service connections, improve Standards of Performance, and promote energy conservation through LED implementation.

Academic Background :

Dr. Narasimhulu holds a B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, along with a Master's degree in Finance and Marketing.

Awards and Recognition :

He was honoured by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2018 for his contributions to EoDB, positioning APSPDCL as the top-ranked utility in India, and received commendation for the swift restoration of power in Visakhapatnam following Cyclone Hudhud, reflecting his leadership, coordination, and dedication to public service.

Sri Chilukamari Chakrapani was appointed as Director (Commercial ) of the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) by the Government of Telangana on 24th June 2025.

Sri.Chilukamari Chakrapani, born in Mogullapally Village, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District, is a distinguished electrical engineer with over 36 years of experience in the power sector. A Gold Medalist in Electrical Engineering (AMIE – The Institution of Engineers, India), he also holds an M.Tech. in Power Systems from JNTU Hyderabad, along with Post Graduate Diplomas in Computer Science (University of Hyderabad) and **Business Management (MDI, Gurgaon). He is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) and a Chartered Engineer.

He began his career in APSEB in 1988, progressing through various positions in AP Transco, APCPDCL, TSSPDCL, and TGSPDCL, gaining extensive expertise across Distribution, Transmission, Commercial, Projects, and Regulatory domains. His leadership has driven major improvements in network reliability, loss reduction, and operational efficiency.

As Chief General Manager (Regulatory Affairs Cell), Sri Chakrapani led key regulatory filings, including ARR, True-ups, and Tariff proposals, resulting in approval of ₹12,718.40 crores and ensuring timely filings without adverse remarks. Earlier, as Superintending Engineer, Gadwal Circle, he achieved a remarkable reduction of AT&C losses from over 50% to 6.79%, earning national recognition for excellence under DDUGJY.

A visionary technocrat, he contributed to standardization of metering systems, implementation of SCADA, DMS, and AMR, and authored the 33/11 kV Substation Maintenance Manual. He has been honored multiple times for exemplary performance and contributions to the power sector.

A passionate mentor and visiting faculty at reputed institutions like CTI, ESCI, CPTI, and CIRE, Sri Chakrapani continues to inspire innovation, professional integrity, and sustainable energy practices across the power distribution landscape.

Sri Shri P. Krishna Reddy was appointed as Director (Finance, Legal & Industrial Relations) of the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) by the Government of Telangana on 24th June 2025.
